Why do I always get a door slammed in my face when I am doing door-to-door sales?

sneak to the front door and when u knock turn around so they dont see that they dont know you, and then u get to hope they think ur someone else lol.. look behind u like you just saw something, when they answer quickly turn around and talk to that they cant get a word in til ur ready, but be friendly. hope this helps :)
