Name of an Eastern European cake translated to"???? Ruins"?

I had this amazing "cake" with thin layers of a dense golden cake, a caramel like syrup make from heating condensed milk, sweet meringue, chopped nuts and chopped dates or prunes and probably other layers that I'm forgetting to mention. It was so tasty and I'd like to find a recipe but need to know the name! It's either from Russia, Serbia, Bosnia or some Eastern European country. Anyone know what it's called?
