The Russian sneak attack ? saber rattling or reality ?

We went all through this with the Cuban crisis, why do you think Russia would attack the US? Only if the US attacked Russia, both countries would take a great battering, even the winner would be almost destroyed, so I can't see this being an option as Russia would be getting hit from Subs from Britain, France, and the US, so I can't see it happening.
