Why does everyone hate joey votto?

i understand if ur a cubs fan, because he has done really good against them and the marlon byrd thing( which makes no sense, because it's not like it's ramirez, it's his first year there) i mean he doesnt talk trash, if you've seen him in interviews he's well mannered, he isn't y, he praises his teammates, but yet i've seen a lot of stuff about how people think he's a jerkoff and stuff like that, so im not quite understanding that
